Unité d'isolement autonome universel HDSL

The Universal HDSL Standalone Isolator units provide 50kV RMS, 70kV Peak high-voltage isolation between one 4-wire Remote HDSL Terminal Unit (HxTU-R) located inside the substation, and an HDSL Central Office (CO) Terminal Unit (HxTU-C) located at the CO.

These units consist of an isolator card mounted inside a compact fiberglass enclosure. The enclosure is lightweight and flame-retardant with high dielectric strength. Its fiberglass body limits the possibility of many kinds of infiltration while providing reliable isolation from external ground potentials.

Each standalone unit is shipped with a 10’ PVC insulated 6-pair CMAW cable for connection to the CO’s incoming cable. Both the 751239R2 and 751239SP units can be configured for 1 x 4-wire operation, 1 x 2-wire operation or 2 x 2-wire operation. As such both units can accomodate HDSL, HDSL2 and HDSL4. The 751239R2 can be used for G-SHDSL applications. The 751239SP version comes complete with a multi-input to -48Vdc power supply with battery-back-up enabling the unit to reproduce network Span Power to drive the HDSL HxTU-R located at the substation. The 751239SP can be used with or without the Span Power option.

Universal HDSL Standalone Isolator Unit with Station-side Span-Power

Features

  • Units provide 50 kVrms (70 kV peak) isolation while maintaining full communication between terminals during a GPR event.
  • Communication is maintained across the gap by isolation transformers that provide low-loss, low-distortion transmission
  • The Power Supply of the Model 751239SP accepts inputs of floating 130 Vdc, floating 48 Vdc or 120 Vac with battery back-up on the Station side to provide span-power to the terminating HxTU-R
  • Enclosures resist the infiltration of dust, mist, and water from sprinklers
  • Jumper settings allow you to configure cards to provide a simplex or a loop return-path for network Span Power on the CO side. The voltage will not be transferred to the Station side.
  • Jumper settings allow the unit to be configured for 2-wire or 4-wire HDSL. When set in 2-wire mode, the unit can acomodate two HDSL2 circuits
