Multi-Card Shelves
7-position Shelf
This shelf can be used on both the CO-side (CFJ) and Station-side (OEI) of a hybrid-fiber HVI scheme. The shelf is fabricated from stainless steel and is designed in such a way as to act as a virtual Faraday Cage enabling extremely high noise immunity.
For outdoor use, shelves can be housed in closures which meet the NEMA-4X requirements for telecom plant equipment. (These closures may be ordered separately). Each shelf has one slot for a plug-in power supply and six slots for optical service modules. Any slot can be used for an optical service module or a plug-in power supply.
When installed outdoors, the shelf is housed in a weather-resistant closure which can be wall-mounted, pole-mounted, or installed in a pedestal. When installed indoors, the shelf is mounted on a painted, treated plywood backboard, optionally mounted in a 19” or 23” rack or inside a non-metalic cabinet that is H-Frame or wall-mounted.
Fabricated from high-quality stainless steel, the shelf’s backplane motherboard has seven edge connectors; one for each slot. Each connector distributes input power to the optical modules and gives access to contact-closure alarm connections.
The break out box kit (7250BB-50) includes an array of twelve RJ connectors and cabling that terminates in an Amphenol connector for quick attachment to a 66-tyype punch block. The TeleLite Access Card is a passive device and gives you access to the traces on the backplane of the shelf. The TeleLite Access Card, Model #720001 is used to input a locally available -48Vdc to the backplane motherboard and provides access to alarm contact points for optical service modules located in the CFJ (CO-side) and OEI (Station-side). These items are sold seperately.

3-position Swing-Out Shelf
Fabricated with stainless steel, the TeleLite 3-slot Swing-Out Shelf is ideal for smaller isolation applications providing a cost-effective solution that can be wall mounted or assembled in a cabinet or a pedestal assembly.
The TeleLite 3-slot Swing-Out Shelf has an integrated Access Port mounted on the side of the shelf. Via the Access Port, a locally available -48Vdc can be fed directly to the shelf. The port also gives access to contact-closure alarm connections that report conditions of the optical service modules in both the CFJ and OEI via contact closure.
The shelf is designed to meet all applicable IEEE recommendations and FCC standards for Hybrid-Fiber, High Voltage isolation installations.

2-position 1U Shelf
The TeleLite 2-position 1U Shelf is ideal for smaller isolation applications providing a cost-effective solution that mounts in a standard 19” or 23” telecommunications rack.
This shelf is for indoor use only, and is designed for OEI (Station side) installation. If the CFJ (CO-side) installation is located indoors, this shelf can also be used.
The shelf is designed to meet all applicable IEEE recommendations and FCC standards for Hybrid-Fiber, High Voltage isolation installations.
Each shelf has two slots that can accept either a plug-in power supply or an optical service module. Three 2-slot shelves can be daily-chained together to distribute power amongst the shelves.
The shelf is also equipped with an Access Port on the rear of the shelf. Via the Access Port, a locally available -48Vdc can be fed directly to the shelf. The port also gives access to contact-closure alarm connections that report conditions of the optical service modules via contact closure.
