TeleLite Single POTS FXS/FXO Fiber Interface CFJ Cards

The TeleLIte Single POTS FXS/FXO Fiber Interface Cards isolate a single analog POTS line or loop start PBX trunk using a fiber link.

Applications:

• Loop-start PBX trunk
• Dial-up remote meter reading

FXS Card

The POTS FXS TeleLite interface card represents the OEI (Optical Electrical Interface) or "Station-side" of a hybrid fiber isolation scheme. The FXS card is locally powered by -48 Vdc via a TeleLIte shelf. The POTS FXS interface card provides battery feed, ringing generation, off-hook, and ring-trip detection to the station equipment.

FXO Card

The POTS FXO TeleLite interface card represents the CFJ (Copper Fiber Junction) or "CO-side" of a hybrid fiber isolation scheme. The FXO is powered from the loop current and does not require any local powering. It interfaces to the CO and provides ringing detection, and generates off-hook signalling back to the CO. This card will work with loop currents down to 18mA, and meets the FCC ON-HOOK resistance requirements.
